The Treasury publishes a range of documents that may be of interest to tertiary students including information about the New Zealand economy, the Government's finances and Treasury research papers.
Career and Scholarship Opportunities at the Treasury
- Graduate Careers - gives an overview of our career opportunities for graduates, including information on how to apply.
- Summer Internship Opportunities - provides an overview of our Summer Internship opportunities for students in their penultimate year at university.
Information on the New Zealand Economy
- New Zealand Economic and Financial Overview - Contains a comprehensive overview of the structure and performance of New Zealand’s economy.
- Treasury Forecasts (Economic and Fiscal Updates) - Provide information on the various forecasts produced by the Treasury on the New Zealand economy and the Government’s financial position.
- New Zealand's Long Term Fiscal Position - Amendments to the Public Finance Act in 2004 mean the Treasury is now required to publish regular statements on New Zealand’s long-term fiscal position, looking out at least 40 years.
- Monthly Economic Indicators - A regular stock-take of economic data releases prepared by the Treasury’s Macroeconomic Forecasting and Analysis team.
- Budget 2009 and Budget 2008 - To access Budget documents such as the Estimates and Fiscal Strategy Report.

- World outlook is stronger but significant challenges remain
The outlook for the world economy has been revised up substantially since we prepared the Budget Update and is expected to have a positive impact on the demand for New Zealand goods and services.
