Health, wellness and our culture

We value our people and our culture. We offer a supportive work environment and encourage a positive work/life balance through fully flexible working arrangements.

The Treasury offers a range of personal health and wellbeing support, including vision care, health checks, flu injections, health insurance assistance, childcare allowance, employee assistance programme (EAP) and a wellbeing assistance contribution. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in any of our social clubs, sports teams, and volunteering opportunities.

All permanent employees are encouraged to spend 1 day volunteering each year. Teams often do this together
Once a week there is an employee-led boot camp at lunchtime. Just to get there, participants run 2.6k return. That's equivalent to swimming the Cook Strait nearly 6 times each year
