The Treasury’s 2013 Half Year Economic and Fiscal Update and the Government’s 2014 Budget Policy Statement will be presented to Parliament on Tuesday, 17 December. The embargo on these materials is lifted at 1pm on that day.
You are invited to register your interest to attend an embargoed briefing prior to the documents being tabled. The Secretary to the Treasury, Gabriel Makhlouf, will give a presentation on the Half Year Update, followed by a presentation by Finance Minister Hon Bill English on the 2014 Budget Policy Statement.
The embargoed briefing will be conducted in a lockup, hosted at the Treasury, in Wellington.

11:40am: Secretary opens with presentation on the 2013 Half-Year Economic & Fiscal Update
11:55am: The Minister of Finance, the Hon Bill English, will give a presentation on the 2014 Budget Policy Statement
12:15pm: Media conference
1:00pm: Lockup ends and embargo is lifted. Attendees free to file news stories and leave the lock up
