Consultation on a new independent infrastructure body

Have your say – consultation open until Friday, October 26

How should the new independent infrastructure body tackle the issues New Zealand is facing?  What functions should it have? What should it look like?

Consultation on these issues is now open.  The consultation document includes questions that we are particularly keen to get your views on.  A Cabinet paper and other background papers are also available to help inform your thinking.

Read Treasury's media release: Have your say on a new independent infrastructure body.

Your submissions will help inform the final proposal the Government develops over the coming months.

You can have your say in a variety of ways:

  • Complete the online survey
  • Use our submission template. You might prefer this option if you want to share your thinking with others in your organisation.  You can download the template, make your comments and save it as a file that can share with your colleagues to get their input.

Whichever of these two options you choose, the questions are the same.

It would help us if you use either the online survey or the submission template (above).

However if you prefer a less structured format, you are welcome to:

  • Email your submission to us at
  • You can also send your comments to:
    New Independent Infrastructure Body
    The Treasury
    PO Box 3724
    Wellington 6140

The deadline for submissions is 5.00pm on Friday, 26 October 2018
