Critical 5

The Critical 5 is an international group design to facilitate the sharing of best practice and experience relating to critical infrastructure. The members are Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom and United States of America.

Each year Critical 5 outlines a small number of key areas to focus on, ranging from investment and procurement to resilience and planning. Key documents will be published on this webpage.

Better Capital Planning and Decision Making

In its Supplement to the 2010 Investment Statement the Government set out its main investment objectives. Several of these have direct implications for planning and decision making within government agencies, particularly departments and Crown entities.

This new guide shows how agencies can deliver better value for money through better capital planning practices.  It also describes how the main government capital decision making and accountability processes fit together.
