Deputy Secretary to the Treasury Mike James announced today the appointment of advertising agency Singleton Ogilvy & Mather to undertake a public information campaign to inform the public on the provisions of the New Zealand Superannuation Act 2001. The campaign will include information about the New Zealand Superannuation Fund.

The public information campaign will be strictly informational in nature and will include television and press advertising, along with a brochure mailed to all households and a dedicated website. The campaign will run from the early to mid-May.

On 27 August 2001 Cabinet agreed to have a public information campaign. The campaign is being run by Treasury on behalf of the Crown.

"Singleton Ogilvy & Mather was appointed following a competitive tender process," said Mr James.
